Humat uses I.T. to empower local and global humanitarians, collaborate efforts and resources, increase response time, and expand the spending power in an online and mobile environment.
The following responses will be considered in judging for a SCORE Award.
How has working with a SCORE mentor helped your business?
Being technically minded, we don’t always see all aspects of the business. SCORE mentors helped by showing our vision from their point of view. They highlighted our strengths while tapping on their own years of experience to help HUMAT be the best it can be. They walked us through the next steps in marketing and income strategy. The connections Bob and Malcolm recommended are inspiring and perfect to advance us. The business plan and financial projections they suggested were hard, but so beneficial. We are beyond grateful! Their time and investment will definitely prepare HUMAT for a much more successful future.
Please describe the specific ways that your business has been successful and how it will grow in the next year.
In 2014, HUMAT was honored with a scholarship to the prestigious Global Forum in Geneva, CH. This event led to invaluable connections, including an appointment at the World Bank. The overload in traffic that followed, crashed Humat’s servers. The “success” this challenge demanded was a complete redesign to better fit the needs of the people. This next year we aim to listen to the public for their needs. We foresee our services including news, crisis relief, and other tools that will continue to raise the industry standard. Expanding community from national to international by integrating global databases is also top on our list. America’s Small Business Championships could be the key we need to go the next level and empower humanity.
