What makes your business one of the best small businesses in your community?

Elena Carné is the owner and the heart of the company an activewear brand handcrafting leggings, tank tops, and other sportswear. She is an energetic and vibrant presence much like the clothing she passionately designs.She is a political refugee from Venezuela,obtained a degree in Fashion Design and two Business degrees at Miami Dade.She then made a connection that introduced her to Americus,Georgia, she was delighted that the community welcomed her and her family with open arms. On 2016 she was name Favorite Emerging Designer at Atlanta Apparel 2016, also she was award Sumter County Small Business of the Year 2016. And recently was one of 13 finalists at the Belk Southern Designer Competition 2017. Elena firmly believes that you must always be consistent with what you are doing and find the joy in it. Be proud of yourself and your work. Through determination, setting goals, God given talents and personal faith Elena is fulfilling her dreams as the designer of "Tepuy Activewear".

For our company Score has been a key component on our success, with the mentor guidance and their experience on every particular field make a easy for an entrepreneur. You feel that somebody has your back! Every mentor has so much knowledge in their respective areas of expertise. Score is a must for every business owner.

Please describe the specific ways that your business has been successful and how it will grow in the next year.

Our company still in a growing process, we need to keep going and developing our market audience. Being in a small rural town in south Georgia, has been very meaningful, because we are demonstrating through our example that it is possible to have innovative and new businesses in rural towns.We have been recognize as Sumter small business of the year 2016.
