What makes your business one of the best small businesses in your community?
Our people, our journey and our Made in USA products created by us! Our sibling owned and operated small business is the vision of an older sister who took a prototype created by our father and said "I'm going to create a Made in USA brand". Since the days of working at the FBI and Pentagon to finding a manufacturer, our company created our first product with love and humor - the intriguing, one-of-a-kind patented Wine Wagon! Our business is socially responsible and is involved in volunteering our time or donating Wine Wagon Gift Ensembles for multiple charities in the local area including the National Kidney Foundation, Devotion to Children and Roads to Recovery in Washington DC, VA and MD. We aim to build a brand that unites people through our social media campaigns, events, and unique lifestyle products that are useful, creative and lovable. The Celeste Alexandra Group plans to add to its product line in 2018 and expand its operations to include local B2B partnerships. Cheers!

How has working with a SCORE mentor helped your business?
When I first started the Celeste Alexandra Group, LLC I came from the government contracting and consulting world as a communications professional. I didn't understand the manufacturing process or how to create a business. I found SCORE years ago and instantly started meeting with a business mentor in Annapolis, MD. The meetings gave me confidence in my strategies and support I needed in moving forward with my strategic plans. I've met with coaches in Washington, DC and Maryland and each person I've met with gave me unique advice during various stages. Each SCORE mentor provided me with information which I turned into action in regards to my manufacturing process and marketing. I'm grateful and blessed for the people that have assisted me.
Please describe the specific ways that your business has been successful and how it will grow in the next year.
As a veteran, woman owned and sibling operated small business, I've faced major life challenges during the last few years as a single mother and business owner. Despite the facts, I feel blessed to have created amazing relationships with so many fantastic business owners who've supported our endeavors and successes in the local community. We've been a part of a national charity's golf tournament for years in which NFL athletes autograph one of our Wine Wagons and auctions it off to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation. We were selected as 1 of 10 businesses to pitch the Wine Wagon at a SCORE/HSN event in 2017. In 2018, we plan to expand our team, focus on B2B partnerships and create more products for our Made In USA brand.
