Business Description

Engaging strategic facilitation, management & leadership training, communications & branding strategy (media relations, community relations, stakeholder relations) & event facilitation.

What makes your business one of the best small businesses in your community?

Poston & Associates, LLC (P&A) was founded in 2002. I'm committed to leaving the space I inhabit better than I find it. In 2017, 2/3 of all Native women were the breadwinners in their families and only made .57 cents to dollar to the dominant society. This alarming statistic is not new but clearly needs to be addressed. I was named Native Women Business Owner of the Year in 2017 by the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development. I used this platform to collaborate with like minded women to reach out to New Mexico’s Native woman-owned businesses to begin dialogue and plan for the inaugural Native Women’s Business Summit April 13-14, 2018 that will bring together 200+ attendees to share space that is reflective of our unique cultures and community. When women are safe and secure economically, children and communities flourish at all levels. I’m passionate about creating pathways for Native women to become successful entrepreneurs.

Please describe the specific ways that your business has been successful and how it will grow in the next year.

I've been able to describe the services I offer more succinctly. He offered guidance on working through and getting on track on a financial matter. I intend and have created a foundation to grow my revenue by 10% in 2018 and have hired additional facilitators as associates.
