Business Description

A nature based company, we specialize in bringing the beauty of nature to your backyard or living space. We design, build and maintain: ponds, waterfalls, fountains and rainwater harvesting systems.

What one unique aspect of your business will make you succeed over the next year?

With 22 years experience in the water garden industry we have built all types of water features utilizing a time proven, low maintenance system and natural elements to transform yards in a short time (photo pond built in just two days). We've had two major stumbling blocks-people's imagnations and their budgets. In 2017 through social media we are able to provide images and project profiles for inspiration. Uniquely, we have new customer financing available to make their dreams possible.

How does your business make a positive impact on the community?

We have had the great privledge of sharing our knowledge of wetlands, ecosystems and water gardening with local garden clubs and schools. Helping them to become better stewards of our most precious resources-water and the natural and living things that surround it. We have also been able to share pictures and stories of our volunteer rainwater harvesting projects from villages around the world. These projects inspire responsible water use, volunteerism and allow our community to realize their potential for positive impact both within and outside of their local community (especially important in our rural area). We've also volunteered on projects for the Shedd Aquarium, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.

What would you do with a $1,000 Sam’s Club gift card, training, and help from a SCORE mentor to grow your business?

The shared successes and failures of a SCORE mentor would be an invaluable asset as we continue to build our business. They would could help us navigate from an owner run company to one that successfully employs members of the community. An enormous transition for any business and a tremendous gift both for us and the community. A gift card would help us to continue to improve our social media presence through the purchase of equipment for photography/videography and sharing.
