The Bronze Look
The Bronze Look is a unique small retail business, selling an assortment of goods: precious metals, art, WV artisan glass, and new and estate jewelry. New products are primarily WV focused.
What one unique aspect of your business will make you succeed over the next year?
We plan on succeeding in 2017 through our own tenacity. We hope to build our online presence to increase sales, expand our marketing capabilities across the US, and add an outside sales force to demonstrate the capabilities of our marketing team to help new and existing businesses develop an online presence. We would like to continue to expand our WV-themed products, as well. Ideally, we would like to finish out the second floor of a brick-and-mortar store/retail location to be able to create more space for our technology center.
How does your business make a positive impact on the community?
The Bronze Look helps its community in various ways; for example, the business is constantly contributing to various organizations such as school and church groups, contributes product on a regular basis to the local hospital’s Healthy Women and Senior Circle. Major contributions have been made to Bluefield State’s NOSFW program to help raise money for women-in-need, as well as Billie’s Kids of The First Christian Church in Princeton, WV to help send children to church camp. Without The Bronze Look, many local artists in our community would never have the opportunity to show their pieces of art in a gallery setting.
What would you do with a $1,000 Sam’s Club gift card, training, and help from a SCORE mentor to grow your business?
Being awarded a $1,000 Sam's Club gift card would greatly help offset the cost of everyday business supplies. Secondly, Bronze Look employees would greatly benefit from training to help improve sales skills. Thirdly, a SCORE mentor would be beneficial in helping employees with time-management skills.
