Gifts Fulfilled manufactures gift baskets for special occasions. We sell to consumers online, and locally in our community. We also sell to businesses by offering drop shipping of our gifts.
How does your business make a positive impact on the community?
Gifts Fulfilled exists to provide work opportunities to adults with different abilities. We believe the right to work should be available to all adults, but statically only 18% of disabled adults are employed. (US Bureau of Labor Statistics 2015)
Gifts Fulfilled is fortunate to be located in Worcester County, Maryland home of the Worcester County Development Center, a facility for adults with developmental disabilities. In 2016 we reached out to see if we could partner together to provide job opportunities for their clients. What began as an experiment has become a twice a week routine where clients learn assembly line skills and assemble gifts for us. The WCDC client earns a paycheck, which they in turn spend in our community.
What would you do with a $1,000 Sam’s Club gift card, training, and help from a SCORE mentor to grow your business?
A SCORE mentor would be invaluable in helping Gifts Fulfilled strategize to become a multi-million dollar company. Ideally we will create partnerships with organizations, like Sam's Club, to fill large volume orders for specific holiday needs. These large orders and dependable partners would allow Gifts Fulfilled to become a model of a fully integrated work place. It would allow us to share practices with other businesses enabling them to hire a more diverse workforce too. The prize money could easily be spent right in Sam's club purchasing snacks for our care packages!
