The MOB NW
The MOB NW is an alliance of mom-owned businesses dedicated to empowering women who balance both motherhood and business. We provide regular networking, support, resources, and encouragement.
What one unique aspect of your business will make you succeed over the next year?
We have several unique aspects of our business.
1) We are the only networking group/business alliance that focuses on MOM owned businesses. We believe there is a higher level of support needed for women balancing both. We have a strong tribe of women with a vested interest in the success of other "MOBS".
2) Our business alliance is the ONLY all inclusive membership based group. If you are a paid member of our group you receive all benefits, events, classes etc at no additional charge. Most paid membership groups still require their members to pay fees for their networking events.
3) The leaders in our groups go up and beyond. We do not just support our members at monthly events, we provide a different benefit every day in the way of resources, education, marketing or one on one support.
How does your business make a positive impact on the community?
We make an enormous impact in the community. We provide a high level of support and love unlike any other group out there. Our members will tell you how far we go to support and promote their businesses. We also impact them on personal levels. A member in our community was facing eviction two weeks before christmas. On the LAST day, when she had no other options- our group raised 2100 in 12 hours and wrote a check to her landlord.
What would you do with a $1,000 Sam’s Club gift card, training, and help from a SCORE mentor to grow your business?
With a $1000 Sam's Club gift card we could afford set ups for vendor events to spread the word about our alliance and its members. We want these items for two reasons- 1) We want to attend events and advertise our members businesses to the community. 2) We want to have these items available to our members to rent/borrow for their own events to help them grow their businesses. These items are expensive to start up shops and we would love to have this resource for them. Training and help from a mentor would be invaluable. I have so many questions about turning this into chapters and growing this organization to impact even more communities.
